During the last few days of January, me and my fellow schoolmates went to Chateau Royale in Nasugbu, Batangas.
“A truly inspiring leisure and recreation paradise.” is their tagline based on their website. Fair enough, it is really a paradise.
Chateau Royale is a 3 to 4-hour drive from Katipunan, Quezon City. Along the way, you will pass through Tagaytay City and see the Taal Volcano. The resort is a 20-minute drive from Tagaytay City.
We had our buffet lunch upon arrival. Then, the program proper (The Amazing Race) started. We had our games at the obstacle course and swimming pool.
Note: Swimming Pool Policies
1) You can wear a swimsuit or a sleeveless shirt and shorts, but “No colored shirts allowed.” Only a white shirt will do.
2) You can buy a swimsuit at the souvenir shop if you forgot to bring one. It costs around 600php (according to a two piece I saw).
We were given a free time to roam around the place, use the facilities, and go to our rooms after the event. They have a children’s playground, Veranda Cafe, greenhouses, organic farms, spa, and a little pond with turtles.
Our room is located far from the main place, though. We have to walk or ride a shuttle service. Our room was spacious! Of course, I jumped literally on the farthest bed and claimed it since we are 3 in the group. Haha. We have 2 queen-size beds, a table beside it with the telephone, lots and lots of cabinets, table and chairs near the window, and a door with a peephole.
The next morning, me and my friends tried rock climbing! Rock climbing is one item in my to-do list in life so it was a pretty memorable experience. The Mt. Chateau is 70 feet in height or a 5-storey building. The climb costs 100php.
I feel like not leaving the place anymore! I want to stay a little longer, but I can’t. The place is relaxing and it made me forget all the school works I need to work on the following week. It was indeed a paradise.
